Private Practice Guide & Checklist

Setting up a private counselling practice?

Instead of trying to figure everything out yourself, and spending loads of time doing so, I’ve put together a step by step guide outlining what you need to do to start building your private practice, along with a checklist to tick things off as you go, helping you keep track of what you’ve done and what you have left to do.

Are you ready to set up a values-driven private practice that allows you to live the life you want, while supporting your ideal clients?

  • Learn what you need to do for different areas of your private practice: finance, record keeping, legal and more

  • Ideas for marketing outside of just directories and websites

  • I’ve made this guide as neurodivergent-friendly as possible…

    • If you struggle to put tasks in order and decide what to prioritise, the steps are already put in an order for you.

    • Or if you want to choose what to do based on your energy levels and time, the tasks are coded according to type of task, so you can do things according to what matches the time and energy you have when you’re working on it.

WHAT’S INSIDE?

I’m Michele (they/she)

Like many people setting up private practice, I was working another job as I set up, and was finding it frustrating that I had no room to grow my practice.

I eventually managed that tricky shift to only doing private practice and though it was hard going at times and scary to take the leap, it was also one of the best decisions I’ve ever made, both professionally and personally.

Now I’m excited to offer support to other therapists wanting to set up their own private practice, sharing all the things I wish I had known when I was setting up mine.

You should receive the guide and checklist immediately so if you haven’t, please check your junk folder.
